I have such a love/hate relationship with Mondays. I mean – it’s Monday, arguably the worst day of the week for many. It’s also the start of a new edition of The Homeschool Nook Link Up Party, and that’s always a good time!
Each week homeschool bloggers all over the internet stop by to share their latest and greatest blog posts to help inspire others in their own homeschools. Make sure you stick around to see what everyone has to share this week.
If you are a homeschool blogger, please take a minute to share your posts with our readers!
Last Week in Our Homeschool
This past week in our homeschool we tried to spend as much time as possible getting in some swimming practice while the days are still hot. With our summer break ending in two weeks, we’re trying to squeeze as much out of our Summer break as possible!
Our evenings were spent shopping for a new vehicle. As sad as we were to admit it, our trusty sidekick, aka “Fasty” was starting to die on us, and it was time to trade her in.
We first got Fasty when Moe (age 9) was only 1 year old. It’s been our only vehicle in our one-car family, and for the girls it was the only vehicle they really rode in. For me and the hubsterdude, the sentiments run a little deeper.
When we first got married 11 years ago, we fell on some very hard times, and it wasn’t until the past year or two that we finally found ourselves climbing out of the dark hole that the recession put us in. Fasty was the only stable thing we had besides each other, and it got us through so many hard times.
Saying goodbye to Fasty was a very sad time (Lil’ Sis had a complete meltdown when it was time to say goodbye), but we’re loving our new SUV– which we’ve affectionately named Fasty 2.0!
Meeting Fasty 2.0!
Are you sentimental when it’s time to say goodbye to your old vehicles? Or am I the only one?
