In Case You Missed It
Last weekend I spent some time with one of my best friends for our annual girls weekend in Tulsa. My friend doesn’t live very close, about 4 hours away from me actually, so most of the time this is the only weekend we really get together out of an entire year.
A few years ago, the weekend was originally a yearly trip to see our favorite band perform for their fan club members. Now, at least for me, it’s become more of a girls weekend with awesome music always jamming in the background.
The trip is far from a vacation though. In a matter of 5 days, we danced and screamed aloud to our favorite songs at 3 separate shows. Plus, the band put on a craft beer festival where other bands performed as well.
Needless to say, I spent the following week with no voice, sick, and trying to catch up on sleep. It was definitely worth it though, and I’m already counting down the days until we go back again next year.
The chaos didn’t stay behind in Tulsa though. As soon as I got home from my trip (within a couple of hours actually) we surprised the girls by welcoming these two crazy little furballs into our family.
Yep, that’s right! We finally got ourselves some pets!
Meet Gunner and Izzy. Aren’t they so sweet?
To finish off the season of chaos, Lil’ Sis turned 6 years old and graduated from Kindergarten. Momma’s going to need a lot of wine to be able to accept the fact that my baby really isn’t a baby anymore.
As always, if you like what you read, it would help me out a lot if you could share these posts with your friends and family.
