Happy Monday and welcome to another great week of the Homeschool Nook Link-Up Party #83! Each week homeschool bloggers from all over the internet stop by to share their latest and greatest posts here.
These posts are encouraging and inspiring to homeschoolers everywhere. Keep reading to be inspired! If you are a homeschool blogger we invite you to share your links with us below (and come back each week).
So.. What’s New?
I’m so sorry for the unexpected hiatus I had to take. After moving into our new home, I really struggled with exhaustion, burnout, illness, and more. No matter how hard I tried, life just kept looking more and more like this:
As much as I didn’t want to, I had to take some time to get myself, my family, and my home in some sort of functioning order again. For those of you who are still here now that I’ve returned, thank you!
So, what have we been up to the past couple of weeks? For starters, I started the Ketogenic lifestyle. It was a struggle for a couple weeks as I was detoxing from sugar and processed foods (aka “Keto flu”), but I’m happy to report I’m making some amazing progress so far! And, now that the fog has lifted, I’m feeling much, much better, and 14 lbs lighter already. Yay!
Who knows, maybe I’ll share that journey here on my blog? You let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in reading about.
Along with the chaos, we’ve definitely been having some fun this summer as well. We have spent the last few weeks submersed in July 4th festivities – which happens to be my very favorite holiday (tied with Christmas). Who doesn’t love all the barbecue, patriotic music, and of course fireworks?!
Seriously though, fireworks are my favorite thing, ever. Getting to watch them with my babies while at one of our favorite places (Six Flags) = epic.
In Case You Missed It
As far as content here at the blog goes, I was finally able to share yesterday about how we have been studying the American Revolution this summer in our homeschool.
Also, don’t forget to check out all of the awesome homeschooling resources Amy shared last week at the Homeschool Nook. By the way, thanks to Amy for being a rockstar and keeping the Nook alive while I was gone!
As always, if you like what you read, it would help me out a lot if you could share these posts with your friends and family.
