Happy Labor Day! I hope you are all enjoying a day full of rest from your work and studies, kicking back and putting your feet up! There is nothing better than having a Monday off – because Monday’s are the worst. Well, that’s not entirely true because Monday’s mean its a new week for The Homeschool Nook, but you know what I mean.
The Homeschool Nook is the place where homeschool bloggers from all over the interwebs come and share some of their newest and best blog posts to help inspire the rest of us.
Before we get to the party, I thought I’d give you an update on what we did last week in our homeschool.
Last Week in Our Homeschool
This week was spent doing a ton of printing and filing. I’m not kidding when I say a ton. I decided to make lesson plans for my whole entire homeschool year (thanks to Kristi Clover and her awesome homeschool organization system).
Yep – my entire homeschool year is planned, printed, and filed away! I’m seriously so excited about this! A few weeks ago I wrote a little bit about how I plan for an upcoming school year.
In the near future I’ll be posting more about the amazing system I used to actually plan my lessons!
This year I’m going to be able to enjoy kicking back on Sunday nights knowing that everything is done for the week ahead. That feeling is going to be glorious.
See that mess above? That’s what my life looked like this week. It was chaos but I know that someday I will be so grateful I took the time to do it!
It took about a week to get everything accomplished, but that was only because printers are machines of the devil. After about day 3 of fighting paper jams and spending a million in print cartridges and paper, I finally caved and gave my old printer the boot, and bought this new beauty:
After discussing how printers are totally divas I decided to name this one “Mariah”.
