Raise your hand if you’re like me and spend way more than you like to on printer ink. Printer ink can be expensive, y’all! That is if you’re not using HP Instant Ink. Keep reading – I’ll tell you more.

How I’m Saving Money on Printer Ink
Last year, before I discovered HP Instant Ink, I decided to try planning an entire year’s worth of homeschool lesson plans. This bright idea of mine included a ton of printing, tears, frustration, and a ridiculous amount of money spent on outrageously priced printer ink.
Needless to say, I was ready to throw the printer out the window and give up self-printing workbooks forever. Now, I’m singing a different tune!
HP Instant Ink
So what is HP Instant Ink exactly? Let me break it all down for you.
HP Instant ink is a subscription service that replaces your ink cartridges. Yep. No more running out of ink mid-project and forking out a ton of cash to replace it all at once!
Basically, you sign up for a monthly instant ink plan with your eligible HP Printer. This plan charges a monthly fee that is based on the number of pages you print each month.
As you print throughout the month, your printer will send its ink level information to HP. When the ink levels start to run low, HP will send you a replacement cartridge in the mail.
HP will also send pre-paid return packaging so you can send back your old cartridge to be recycled. How cool is that?
Perhaps my favorite part of this program is that you can rollover your unused pages! Also, since you are paying per page printed, each page will cost the same — no matter if it’s black and white, or high-quality color.
How HP Ink is Saving Me a Ton of Money
As a homeschool mom, I print a lot. Remember those lap books I was telling you about? Some of them can be around 50 pages or so, per kid. Since each of the girls generally make at least one lap book per month, that’s a lot of printing!
Not only that, but I’m also a planner girl and journaling addict. Printing those free printable stickers and ephemera is addicting, and can use a lot of printer ink.
Since signing up with HP Instant Ink I have saved so much money on printer ink. I used to be very selective about what I would print, and try to print with the lowest quality possible. Now I can print high-quality color and it doesn’t affect my cost!
How YOU Can Save With HP Instant Ink Too
Okay, enough about me and my savings. We need to get you set up with this amazing deal too!
First, you’ll need to make sure you have a compatible HP Printer. Mine wasn’t compatible, but I knew the amount of savings would more than pay for a new printer, so I went out and bought this one. (It has been a great printer so far!)
Once you’ve got a compatible printer, click here to sign up and choose which monthly plan you would like to be on. HP will then send you ink cartridges so you can get started printing and saving.
How easy is that? Okay, what are you waiting for? Go sign up now!
What keeps your printer working the most these days? Will you be checking out HP Instant Ink for yourself?
