When I was in high school I took four years of Spanish, plus another semesters worth in 8th grade, and I had so much fun learning the language. I’m far from fluent, but I can understand it well enough to get the gist of what someone is saying. I knew I wanted my kids to be able to (at the very least) understand this language because they could only benefit from it in the future, right? So when I was recently given the opportunity to review Foreign Languages for Kids by Kids, I immediately jumped on board!

Foreign Languages For Kids by Kids Review
Foreign Languages for Kids by Kids is a beginner Spanish curriculum made for kids by kids. It uses immersion combined with visuals that are both humorous and fun to keep kids engaged in their learning. Paired with the additional hands-on activities like the flash cards, workbooks, and stickers, kids are able to quickly memorize the terms and phrases they are learning and they have fun while doing it. In addition to learning the language itself, kids also learn about other parts of the Spanish culture such as music, cooking, and even the geography of some Spanish speaking countries.
So far we are really enjoying the curriculum, and we are learning so much. I’m even hearing my kids incorporating the language into their every day life! For example, first thing in the morning my oldest comes into the kitchen and sings “Desayuuuuunnoooo!” just like they say it in the video. That’s become her new way of asking me for breakfast. Or when my youngest really like’s whatever it is she’s eating she’ll say “Mmmmmm Me Gusta!”. What I love the most about the curriculum is that I know my time isn’t going to waste! My children are actually retaining the information they are learning, and honestly, so am I! I think its fun to converse back and forth with my girls in a foreign language, even if we are still in the beginning stages of learning.

Thanks Rebecca! And thanks again for the opportunity 🙂
Me gusta 🙂 A foreign language is so easy for kids to pick up at this age its ridiculous. My daughter is currently learning french, but I love the idea that this teaches a bit of the spanish culture.
