Happy Monday everyone! I know many of you have either already started homeschooling for the year, or will be starting very soon. To those who have already started, welcome back!
Last week here at The Homeschool Nook we had another awesome week full of homeschool related posts shared by other homeschool bloggers such as myself. I know this week will be just as fantastic!
If you are a homeschool blogger, make sure you stick around and share your latest posts with the rest of us! Also, make sure you check out my other post from today and enter to win mom’s back to homeschool gift basket giveaway!
Last Week in Our Homeschool
We’ve been trying to squeeze every ounce of fun out of this summer that we can. Unfortunately it’s seemed like every time we try to schedule some fun, something seems to get in our way (like rain when we try to go swimming, a job change cancelling our vacation, or the family van breaking down).
So far, the only luck we seem to have is when we escape to Six Flags for the day (we have season passes). My ladies are very timid when it comes to, well, anything really. When the older girls found out they were too tall for the little kid rides, they were crushed! That’s why this summer I have been trying to teach the girls to face their fears.
Even though Moe (oldest) want’s nothing to do with heights or fast roller coasters, KK (age 8) has been stepping outside of her comfort zone more and more. I couldn’t be more proud!
All summer we’ve talked about my love of Batman the Ride, and they swore they would never ever, not in a million years, ride it with me. That was until yesterday when my brave KK finally stepped up to take the challenge on not one, but four new rides that she was completely terrified of! Now, they are her favorite rides in the park, but her new all time favorite? You guessed it – Batman the ride!
Here are a couple pictures of the girls yesterday:
