We’ve been struggling a little with my 2nd grader this year in the math department. It seems like every math curriculum or style we try usually ends up being a fail with tears and frustration (and my 2nd grader get’s annoyed too.. ha!).
I’ve been having to get creative with some of our lessons to try to really make things stick (Like my printable touch points cards or my “Spend to the End” coin counting game.)
Last week here at The Homeschool Nook a great featured post was shared that I thought was extremely helpful to know during our time of struggling math. Actually it amazes me how lately every featured post (the post with the most clicks) seems to be exactly what I’m needing to read at that time!
Featured Post:
This weeks feature post comes from Jennifer from All in One Mom (Look, another “Jen”!). She talks about the different styles of math curriculum and what they mean. I’m not sure if it will definitely help me with my own current math struggles, but I’m hoping maybe it will help you if you’re trying to find a good curriculum to implement in your own homeschool. It’s an awesome read so be sure to click on her image below to read her post! Let her know The Homeschool Nook sent you!
