If there is one lesson I appreciate being taught by my parents the most as a child, its that being a hard worker would always pay off in the end. I was never the type of kid that was spoiled and had everything handed to me on a silver platter. I worked hard for everything I had. I was the kid who was waiting tables at the small town diner at the age of 11 because it was fun to me. If there was a big school trip coming up that I wanted to attend, you better believe I earned every dime to pay for it!
I hope to pass this trait onto my girls, not because I don’t want to give them the world, but because I know how rewarding it feels to earn it on your own. I also know that if you know how to be a good worker, you will never go hungry.

Hi Jen!
Thanks for another great link-up… I’ll need to do better about getting here more often!
Love your feature this week. I, too, was raised with the same work ethic. Not always sure if I’m successfully passing the same on to my kids, tho. Ah…parenting is sometimes a tricky thing, no?!
Have a great week!!
