I promise, I do plan to share more here on my blog than just our weekly reviews and the Homeschool Nook. Actually, I have some big plans that I intend to start rolling out here on the site in the near future. I can’t wait to share these amazing plans with all of my faithful readers! Thanks for sticking by my side. I think you will like the upcoming changes!
Last Week in Our Homeschool
I decided to take another week off in our homeschool. Well, sort of. We had a very watered down version of learning around here. Lots of art projects were made, documentaries were watched, and AHG badge requirements were filled.
Moe spent quite a few hours this week practicing her drawing. The hubsterdude and I were very impressed with how she drew these pokemon characters – freehanded!
After returning home from our travels, the hubsterdude and I were beyond exhausted and decided to lay low and take it easy around here. It was basically Friday Funday all week long and no one had a single complaint about it.
Moe went on her very first fishing trip for her Explorer troop’s father/daughter fishing trip. They have been working on their fishing badge, and since her Paw Paw loves to fish, she couldn’t wait to invite him to come along with her and her daddy.
She was beyond excited for this fishing trip and counted down for weeks until the big day arrived. The girls love to draw pictures on the family dry erase board to reflect special days when they arrive. Today must have been a pretty big day to make it on the dry erase board.
We bought her a brand new fishing pole (her first ever) and kit, a bucket of worms, and sent them all on their way.
She caught her very first fish (two actually) and came home with plans to go fishing again next weekend. She’s definitely my girl who likes to get her hands dirty!

Do You Love Lapbooks?
I’m becoming a lapbook junkie! My kids love having a fun project to put together, and I love that I can teach them a variety of subjects in a fun way that isn’t too messy and cluttered! That is why I love A Journey Through Learning’s lapbooks so much!
I teach my kids in bite size lessons that are perfect for their limited attention span, and saves my nerves because it isn’t too messy! It’s the perfect amount of hands on work for both of us!
Check out their lapbooks by clicking on the banner below. You’ll be so glad that you did!

We had a light week, too. Things were just unexpectedly crazy two weeks ago and we didn’t get to everything we’d planned, so we finished up last week. That’s the beauty of homeschooling, isn’t it? We have the flexibility to be fluid like that! Have a great week!
