How is it Monday again, already? I can’t handle the Monday’s anymore y’all. The only thing that is going to get me through this week is reading all of the amazing posts shared on this week’s edition of The Homeschool Nook. Seriously bloggers, make sure you’re linking those posts for all of us moms who need to get through this day somehow!
On the bright side, I’m so excited to announce that I have partnered up with A Journey Through Learning. I cannot wait to begin sharing how we use their amazing history themed lapbooks in our homeschool this year!

Last Week in Our Homeschool
Last week was crazy. We were all over the place in our homeschool and could not seem to get caught up. It was what I like to call a hot mess week.
We did get our school in for the week, by some kind of miracle. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to capture too many pictures.
Monday was the most Monday-est of all Monday’s in the history of ever.
Lil Sis’ understood this more than the rest of us, as she fell not once, but twice and got two lovely bumps on her poor head. The look on her face is the perfect caption for this Monday.
Science took an interesting and unplanned turn this week when this happened in my kitchen:
Beware: If you have a queazy stomach, skip this picture.
What is this you see? Oh, only a horse hair worm that left its host (the spider) and is suffering what I hope to be a slow and painful death after the bug guys came to spray that day. Observing this took us an entire hour!
The next day was less eventful but still very interesting. We compared which would melt an ice cube faster: salt water or fresh water.
Spoiler: Freshwater won.
We topped the week off with a Friday Funday complete with Poetry Tea Time. What you can’t see in this picture is the brownies that Moe lovingly burned to a crisp. Desperate times called for oatmeal creme pies and pudding cups for our “special treat”.
Did I mention last week was a hot mess?
What did you do in your homeschool this week?

Do You Love Lapbooks?
I’m becoming a lapbook junkie! My kids love having a fun project to put together, and I love that I can teach them a variety of subjects in a fun way that isn’t too messy and cluttered! That is why I love A Journey Through Learning’s lapbooks so much!
I teach my kids in bite size lessons that are perfect for their limited attention span, and saves my nerves because it isn’t too messy! It’s the perfect amount of hands on work for both of us!
Check out their lapbooks by clicking on the banner below. You’ll be so glad that you did!

I’m not sure I would had any ides what was on the floor with the spider if that had happened at our house. Hope this week is a good one!

That horse hair worm is both completely disgusting and fascinating – but I totally get watching it for an hour, because we spent about that long watching a spider eat a bee at the park this past weekend! Have a great week!
